Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to book a table to eat at The Three Hills?
It's always best to book, particularly at the weekends. You are more than welcome to come as a walk in but we can't always guarantee that we will be able to serve you food. It will depend on our staffing levels and the number of bookings we have already taken.
If I have to cancel or amend my booking will I be charged?
As part of your booking we preauthorise your credit/debit card. For bookings of six or less we require 24 hours notice for any amendments or changes to the booking. For tables of more than 6 and for all tables with a pre order we require 48 hours. You can amend your booking either by calling us and leaving a message or by sending us an email. In the absence of the relevant notice period we will charge you £10/person, taken against the credit card details entered at the time of booking. Whilst we accept that there will be occasions when such notice cannot be given, there are no exceptions to this policy.
Is there a different menu if I sit on the grass?
No - we have a small but well thought out menu that can be enjoyed anywhere.
How do I book a table?
Head over to our book a table button either here or on the home page of our website - this will taker you to our booking service. Alternatively, give us a ring or send us an email and we will respond as soon as we can.
Is your patio heated?
Can I come just for a drink?
We do have powerful built in and standalone heaters, and these are free for all diners eating a main course each. If you are drinking only we charge a small fee of £5/heater. If you would like a heater please ask a member of staff who will be happy to set one up for you.
Of course - anyone is welcome anytime we are open to come for a drink and there is no need to book. There are stools at the bar and you are welcome to sit at any table that has not been laid up for a meal.
How many people can sit together at one table?
There are currently no regulations limiting table size. If you are looking for a table bigger than 6 people you will have to call us to book. Tables of up to six can be booked online.
Can I bring my dog?
As a dog friendly pub we are delighted if you want to bring your four footed friend or friends. We do ask that you keep them on a lead whilst you are visiting us. Dogs are welcome in the bar, on the covered patio or on the grass areas. We do not allow dogs in the restaurant.
Can I pay with cash?
No sorry - we no longer accept cash as a form of payment.
Can I bring my own wine?
You can bring your own wine if you would prefer. We charge a corkage fee of £15 for a standard 750ml bottle, or £25 for a magnum.
Can I bring a cake?
We charge a small fee of £2.50 per person if cake is brought in and consumed on the premises. If you order ice cream to go with the cake this fee is waived.
Can I park at The Three Hills?
We have a fairly large car park. If our car park is busy we ask that you park nearby in the village, as considerately as possible. Please don't block anyone's driveways. We respectfully remind all our visitors that our carpark is for Three Hills customers and guests only - it should not be used as a convenient place to park and walk, unless prior permission has been sought.
Are you open for lunch?
We are open for lunch every day from Wednesday to Friday from 12pm to 2:00pm, on Saturday from 12pm to 2:30pm and on Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. Last bookings are taken 15 minutes before closing time.
